Martin van Dam is CEO of GROUP7. This consultancy firm helps companies to gain success from their digital marketing and eCommerce. There is still much to do; almost each company has a website, yet only a few attract new customers or succeed in selling more to their customers online.
After studying Business Administration, Martin started as a management trainee at Ahold. It turned out to be an excellent match. For 15 years Martin worked for Albert Heijn and Deli XL.
In 2007 he received the CRM Award for the improvement of customer focus at Deli XL. As director of marketing and eCommerce, he was responsible for the digital strategy. Under his management, online sales at Deli XL grew to almost 80% of the total.
In 2012 he founded GROUP7, which lets customers shine online via the G7Propellor approach ™. This involves working on the digital strategy & organization, the online touchpoints (websites, web shops and social media) and the content.
With more than 30 years of experience in the sector, he has a sense of what is going to be big in eCommerce. His ambition is to make his customers online frontrunners.
